Here is an example of the Stayglow scales on a Victorinox Climber model. The scales are used and show some wear of the 2 color printed on shield. The scales are made of nylon and will glow after exposed to some light source. The Stayglow scales are made in 58mm, 91mm and 111mm although the 111mm Stayglow scales are very hard to get.

Victorinox Color comparison - Yellow versus Stayglow

I shot these photos sometime back for a comparison between these 2 colors. The Stayglow scales are obviously new and ready to be installed onto any Victorinox 58mm knife I would like. The yellow scales are much darker yellow and these are attached to a brand new classic. The yellow scales are pretty but do not hold up well when carrying them everyday. They stain with dark colored marks easily and they loose their shine quickly too.

The Stayglow glow in the dark scales are a much lighter color and have a 2 color printed on shield. These scales glow in the dark for an average amount of time after being exposed to light. They are made of nylon while the yellow is cellidor. The Stayglow scales will get some marks especially if they are dark colored and the shield will wear off with use. I have also noticed that the Stayglow scales will accumulate pocket debris and dust inside the channels where the tweezers and toothpick go and this will show up easily on the outside.
