SwissBianco Custom Orange Farmer with Pocket Clip(Sold)

This is one of SwissBianco's early alox creations from late 2008. He made about 20 pieces with custom orange alox anodized scales and on some he added a pocket clip. They are all serial numbered on the back side of the main blade. Mine was #019. The tools are all normal Victorinox Farmer model tools and he had the scales orange anodized and then gave them back to the Victorinox factory where they put them together for him. You will notice the shield is completely covered in orange. I had to sell mine so I thought why not post some photos. There are many more photos here in this online photo album.

Victorinox 100 Year Anniversary Tinker - 1884-1984 series

Here is one of the special anniversary knives made during the 1884-1984 100 year anniversary. This is the 84mm Tinker with the special 1884-1984 scales and a serial number etched into the alox liner behind the screwdriver. There was also a Classic, a Tourist, and a Champion Plus with these same scales and all except the classic was serial numbered.

Here is a Victorinox Climber model made for the Chinese market. It is a limited edition Year of the Pig and is serial numbered with only 3800 manufactured. The serial number is behind the corkscrew in the alox liner. The front has an image of the back side of a pig and a few Chinese Characters of which I am unfamiliar with. It truly is a beautiful piece with unusual green cellidor scales.

Victorinox Astronaut Commemorative Knife - Apollo Moon Landing (SOLD)

Here is a rare NASA Astronaut Commemorative Swiss Army Knife. Released in 1989 it commemorates the 20th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon Landing. The date July 20, 1969 is etched onto the main blade. This knife has the famous Astronaut photo image taken on that mission made into a metal inlay image on the front scale. The main knife blade has an image of the Command Module docked with the Moon Lander and the dates of the event. The knife itself is actually an early pre 1991 "Craftsman" model without the Hook. These knives also had serial numbers marked into the liner behind the Phillips Screwdriver indicating a limited number of pieces made.

I have seen these Astronaut knives in a special box set with documentation papers and also in a plain silver Victorinox box. Another thing is the serial numbers are a single line of 4 digits. There was only one run done of these in 1989 for the entire world. According to Victorinox there was another run done of these in 1999 for the 30th anniversary but they say there were no serial numbers and they did not have the special "Astronaut" inlay onto the front.

Update: Jan. 28, 2013 ;Victorinox evidently only released this knife in a standard silver Victorinox box, however the company called Cutlery World based out of Tennessee repackaged an undetermined number of these knives in special commemorative boxes. These boxes were black with black felt lining and a silver image of the moon landing inside on the upper lid. These came with Cutlery World documentation showing the serial number and the ability to Register yours with Cutlery World via snail mail.
