Victorinox Huntsman - Globi Parrot. This is another of the "Globi Parrot" series. He is a Swiss cartoon character developed originally in 1932 for a Swiss department store. His image and story has increased through history in many books and children's products. The images were used by Victorinox on several of their Swiss Army knives. They are always on white nylon scales which lead to dirty scales and premature wear of the Parrot image.

This special white nylon Victorinox Classic Swiss Army knife has the logo for Globi the Parrot. He is a Swiss cartoon character developed originally in 1932 for a Swiss department store. His image and story has increased through history in many books and children's products. The images were used by Victorinox on several of their Swiss Army knives. I know of at least 2 different ones myself but there is probably more originally made. This one shows Globi on a Snowboard. The scales are white nylon with a printed on image. Over time and use the images can wear off. I have seen Globi on a Huntsman with the same white scales but on a bicycle.

Well it turns out this knife was produced as part of a special store campaign(late 1990's) with the new mascot Globi Bird which is kind of like the Mickey Mouse of Europe. They do not make this scale anymore and it would be pretty hard to find one in good shape since they were printed on nylon scales and the design wears off .
