Victorinox Swiss Army Knife parts kit 4.0581. This has all the inserts you will need for just about any of the Victorinox products. You will be able to fill insert holes in your 58mm, 74mm, 91mm and 111mm Victorinox products. 3 models of ink pens, 3 different models of tweezers, 2 sizes of toothpicks and some micro-screwdrivers for your eyeglasses and even a few scissors springs and key rings. You will find replacement ink pens for a Swiss Card, any 91mm Plus Scales and the retractable pens in the 58mm size. There are special shortened style tweezers for the electronic scales like on your Voyager and Traveler models which have the plus scales on the rear but electronic front scales where there is no slot for the tweezers. Also tweezers for large and small size SAK's made by Victorinox. The case has a nice locking mechanism and is marked "Made in Denmark" on the bottom of the case. It also has 2 removable plastic divider trays that organize the parts. The paper has the Victorinox identity numbers and description of each part and how many are included in the kit.

Wenger Standard Series 1.02.03 - Clariant

Here is one of Wengers Standard series knives, the model 1.02.03. It is a 2 layer model with blade, scissors, nail file, corkscrew, toothpick, tweezers and key ring with chain. This one has beautiful white scales and the back side sports a very nice color logo for Clariant which is a specialty chemicals company.

Comparison - Victorinox Classic versus Leatherman Style

Well I got one of the newest Leatherman key chain knives recently and wanted to show a comparison between it and a Victorinox Classic. The Style is slightly longer than the Classic but it is also narrower and I find this makes it harder to hold with big fingers and hands like I have. The Classic has a wider side making it easier to hold. The Style has a larger blade and the cutting edge is great. However they put the nail nick too far back on the blade and it is rather shallow making it hard to grab and open. The scissors work fine but the return spring is modeled after cheap Chinese designs and I find it a little too stiff. The nail file works fine and both are pretty close to even with the Style being slightly longer but the Classic being slightly wider. However once again Leatherman has installed nail nicks in hard to reach places and even though there is a nail nick on both sides of the nail file I still find it hard to grab and open. The tweezers are easy to remove and work great and even have a slightly slanted tip. The Classic has tweezers that work great too and they add a toothpick. Finally there is a key ring at the tip. On one side is a colored metal plate while the other side has a guard over the blade in plain metal. Overall I think the Victorinox Classic is a better key chain pocket knife when compared to this new Leatherman Style. I do like the blade on the Style though but there are just too many negatives against it for me to replace the Classic as my key chain pocket knife.

Enfin, il y a un porte-clés à l'extrémité. D'un côté est une plaque de métal couleur tandis que la partie adverse a un garde sur la lame en métal ordinaire. Dans l'ensemble, je pense que le classique Victorinox est un couteau de poche porte-clés mieux par rapport à ce nouveau Style de Leatherman. J'aime bien la lame sur le Style, mais il y a tout simplement trop de négatifs contre elle pour moi remplacer le classique comme mon couteau de poche porte-clés.

Bien me consiguió uno de los más recientes cuchillos de cadena de la clave de Leatherman recientemente y quiso mostrar una comparación entre él y un estándar de Victorinox. El estilo es ligeramente más largo que el clásico, pero también es más estrecho y encuentro que esto hace más difícil celebrar con grandes dedos y manos como tengo. El estándar tiene un lado más amplio haciéndola más fácil de mantener. El estilo tiene una cuchilla más grande y la vanguardia es grande. Sin embargo, ponen el nick de uñas demasiado lejos en el servidor blade y es más bien superficial dificultando agarrar y abrir. Victorinox Classic - Ruby with Special Chain Ring

Here is something different from Victorinox. It is a regular Ruby Classic packaged with a special Victorinox key ring and chain. The chain has a square link on the end attached to the ring and it has the Victorinox shield symbol on it. I have found a few of these but they do seem rather rare and this is the first one I have found new in the box(NIB). I do not have any details about where and when these were released but it might be just a North America "Swiss Army Brands" release. The chain has 3 links and is terminated with a square loop with the shield and a smaller ring on the other end.
