Victorinox 58mm Models - Hoffritz

Victorinox 58mm Models - Hoffritz, various models with Hoffritz branding. These are genuine a Victorinox made for the "Hoffritz" cutlery company. They were retailers of fine cutlery from all over the world at one time.  I have seen some 1950's model Victorinox so they have had a relationship with Victorinox for many decades up until they went out of business. Most only have the Hoffritz name hot stamped into the scales but there are a few here with Hoffritz tang stamps as well. Usually the tang stamped versions have the 3 line Switzerland, Stainless, Rostfrei rear stamps but there is one here with the regular 4 line stamp that starts with Victorinox. See the images. The models is a red Bijou without inserts and a 4 line rear tang stamp, a regular white Classic with hot stamped Hoffritz, a regular red Classic with a 3 line rear tang stamp and hot stamped Hoffritz, a red hot stamped shield and Hoffritz Princess, a black Classic SD with hot stamped Hoffritz, a blue Classic SD with hot stamped Hoffritz, a red regular Classic with full metal inlay Hoffritz, a green Shamrock ClassicSD with all full metal inlay Hoffritzm shield and shamrock, and last a stainless steel Escort like model that I do not have the name for right now and it has the 3 line rear tang stamp.

Victorinox Standard - Castolin Eutectic

 

Victorinox Standard - Castolin Eutectic, this is an all metal inlay advertisement or company name marked piece. I call it a "Standard" since it is without T&T inserts and no key ring. The neat  thing about this one is it has the regular Victorinox shield just mounted sideways which is uncommon.

US $48 is the current price shown on the Victorinox website. There are 2 others, Sydney Australia and Paris both with different colors and designs.

Victorinox Ambassador - Special Piano Keys, part of a 5 piece collection of 74mm Ambassadors with designs called Collection #2. It has a plain black front scale with normal Victorinox shield. I would have posted it but overexposed it.

Victorinox Ambassador - Special Art Deco Checkered Design

Victorinox Ambassador - Special Art Deco Checkered Design, This is one from a 5 piece set as seen in the last photo image. Victorinox Collection no. 2 had 5 Ambassador SAK's primarily in black and white colors with special designs. These were available in the early 1990's. Each piece had the special design front and either a plain black or white scale.

Victorinox Pharmacist - Asplundh, in translucent orange. Asplundh is primarily a tree expert service. This one is a rare variation with the pharmacy cut and picker blade in a classic knife combination.

Vintage Victorinox Victoria Spartan - Stag

 

Vintage Victorinox Victoria Spartan - Stag, this is an older vintage pre 1961 Victorinox spartan with nice older thin stag scales. The modern stag scales are usually very thick, possibly due to the manufacturing process or the way the stag is harvested. No chips or cracks that I can see in the stag except the 2 nail nick beveled places on each side to help in opening the corkscrew and awl. The date range is due to this piece having the older triangular awl. Still snappy but there is some wear and marks from sharpening the 2 blades.

Victorinox Hoffritz Classic - Green Shamrock Clover, this is a Victorinox classic made for the "Hoffritz" cutlery company. They were retailers of fine cutlery from all over the world at one time. This one has the Hoffritz logo full metal inlay but the tang stamp is the standard 4 line Victorinox. Some older Hoffritz pieces will have the tang stamped Hoffritz as well.

Victorinox Limited Edition Classic - Hearts and Flowers, another limited edition from SKS, Swiss Knife Shop. This one was created before Victorinox required companies who special ordered things like this to put their initials or logo on the back side.
