Armee Suisse - Vintage 84mm Tourist

Here is an old vintage 84mm Tourist. It has the Armee Suisse tang stamp with the Victor-inox and crossbow rear tang stamp. This one has the oldest style can opener, mirror polished blades and tools, tight 5 turn corkscrew and the small clip point blade. The awl is the older solid triangular type and this knife has the nickel silver liners. I believe this knife to be from the 1930's since it has scales that are shrunken on the exposed rivets. The material during that time was prone to shrinkage.

Celui-ci a le plus ancien style ouvre-boîte, lames de miroir poli, outils, serrés tour 5 tire-bouchon et le petit clip point lame. L'alêne est le type triangulaire solid plus âgé et ce couteau a les paquebots maillechort. Je crois que ce couteau à être des années 1930, puisqu'elle a des échelles qui sont ratatinées sur les rivets exposées. Le matériel au cours de cette époque était enclin à rétrécissement.

Hier ist ein alt Jahrgang 84 mm Tourist. Es hat die Armee Suisse Tang Briefmarke mit Victor-Inox und Armbrust hinten Tang Stempel. Dieser hat des ältesten Stil Öffner können, hochglanzpoliert klingen und Tools, enge 5 Zuges Korkenzieher und den kleinen Clip zeigen Klinge. Die Ahle ist die ältere solide dreieckige Art und das Messer hat die Neusilber Liner. Ich glaube dieses Messer zu aus den 1930er Jahren, seit es Skalen, die auf die verfügbar gemachten Nieten geschrumpft sind. Das Material in dieser Zeit war anfällig für Schrumpfung.

El punzón es el mayor tipo triangular sólido y este cuchillo tiene el revestimiento de alpaca. Wenger Esquire - Alps Matterhorn

This Wenger Esquire is covered on the front side with an image of the Matterhorn in the Alps of Switzerland. The rear scale is blue. My guess is these are made for souvenir and tourist shops in Switzerland.

Victorinox Tourist 84mm Vintage Victoria

This 84mm Victorinox Tourist is rather heavily used and the blades are severely sharpened down but many of the vintage characteristics are easily seen. The front tang stamp is a 3 line stamp, "Victorinox Switzerland Stainless". Interestingly it is missing the common "Rostfrei" line. The rear tang stamp is unique though with what seems to be the common "Victoria Officier" with crossbow, but it lacks the common "Suisse" line found on many vintage Swiss knives. The can opener is marked with the "PAT" with cross marking. This knife has exposed rivet scales, a clip point style small blade, and the older triangular style awl with cutout in the scales. One more thing is the shield is much thicker than the modern shield although it is of the same design.
