Victorinox Deluxe Blue Marble - The Victorinox Deluxe series is a set of enamel painted brass in several colors and even a gold plated version. These knives are 56mm long and have squared ends. The enamel wears and chips off easily as can be seen here. Finding an example in good condition is hard to do.

Victorinox Deluxe Automobile Swiss Army Knife - St. Christopher scales

Here is an older vintage St. Christopher scaled Deluxe Motorist or Luxury Automobile as it is sometimes also called. This one is marked with a Victorinox front tang stamp and a Victoria with Crossbow rear tang stamp. This knife is fairly rare and is a highly valued collectors piece. The photos show a comparison between a couple of regular Motorist models versus the Deluxe model.

The nickel-silver metal inlay is St. Christopher carrying the child Jesus on his shoulder over the flooded river as the old legend goes. St. Christopher is called the Patron Saint of travelers. This knife has a couple of rare tools, the long nail file which is bottom mounted and the top mounted fine screwdriver.

The "Deluxe" series of Classic Swiss Army Knives started out in 1980 and production was stopped around the early 1990's. The Gold Deluxe model was still in the 1991 and 1999 catalogs from Switzerland. These are made of gold plated sterling silver with the regular Classic tools inside. Originally they were packaged in a luxury box.

Victorinox Matterhorn - Serrated Blade

Victorinox at one time produced several partially serrated main blade versions of various SAK's and named them after some famous mountains around the world(Matterhorn, McKinley and Rainier). This one is the Matterhorn. It has the same basic Swiss Army knife functions as the Deluxe Tinker but has the partially serrated main blade. The tip portion of the blade remains a plain edge. The serrations are varied in size and shape which is much different than earlier serrated blades that Victorinox produced and made for a few SAK's in the past. These models are getting harder to find and you should add one to your collection ASAP.

Victorinox Deluxe Classic set

Here are 5 of the 6 known variety's of Victorinox Deluxe. The handles or scales are made of metal with a colored enamel paint covering. The one not shown is is actually a gold plated sterling silver version. These are rare especially in good condition. The paint wears off easily on the painted ones making them look rather unattractive. They were originally sold in a deluxe box with felt interior and genuine Victorinox markings.

Blue Marbled Victorinox Deluxe model

This is a unique Victorinox knife. It is a 58 mm classic sized metal handled in a blue marble look. The heft to the knife indicates the all metal handle and the color of the metal is gold or brass. It has the usual assortment of blade,fingernail file and scissors. I have a maroon colored one as well. The color of the handle seems to be some kind of applied material since it has a few small chips around the edges in a couple of places. If anyone has any details about this knife about when it was produced or the model name or number please pass the info along.
