Here is a silver alox 1970 Elsener Schwyz Victoria Soldier model. The main blade has been re-profiled at the tip and re-sharpened. It has a good clear "WK" stamp on the front shield. The tang stamps are nice and clear and all the other tools are in great shape. It has alox liners.

This old soldier is well used and is marked Elsener Schwyz Victoria 1968. The blade shows loss due to resharpening but still has plenty of life left. These old red alox soldier knives are becoming pretty hard to find. The tools are all unpolished and are the thicker heavy duty style. Compared to the newer Pioneer series the cap lifter and can opener are much thicker.

Here is a red alox Soldier model from 1963 produced by the Victorinox company so many years ago. This one looks like it has never been used. It has the front tang stamp of Elsener Schwyz Victoria and the rear date code tang stamp of 63. It also has the "WK" or Waffen Kontrol stamp in the center of the Swiss Cross shield.

Vintage Elsener Victorinox Officers Knife

This is an older mid 1940's era Victorinox Swiss Army Officers Knife. It has the tang stamp on front of "Elsener, Switzerland, Stainless" and a reverse tang stamp of "Victorinox with Large Crossbow". The small blade is tang stamped "Swiss Made" as is the screwdriver bottle opener. This model has nickel-silver liners, exposed rivet scales, bail, old triangular Awl, large heavy duty 5 turn corkscrew along with the blades, scissors and wood saw. Several unique things to notice about this knife is its lobster claw design can opener. There were only a few years where Victorinox used this "new" design before they developed the modern one we see today. The bottle opener has a cut out in the scale to allow for easy opening. The scissors has nail nicks on both sides and they have the original scissors spring which seem to have a taper towards the end. The wood saw has a long nail nick and all of the tools are mirror polished. Also the nail nick for the main blade is placed more towards the center of the blade rather than near the end like modern day models.
