Victorinox 91mm Voyager Swiss Army knife(SOLD)

This is one of the earliest electronic scales models with a digital clock, alarm and countdown timer. The front scale is Onyx or smoked grey color and has the digital LCD display and the red and white Victorinox shield serves as the operating button. There is a small button sized battery compartment also in the front scale on the left side. It is easily replaced and can be purchased most places. The knife itself has the same tools as the Climber model. The rear scale is of the Plus variety but it is special in that ALL the insert tools are located in it. The tweezers are special made shortened to fit in the left side of the rear scale. The scale material is different from the regular scales that Victorinox makes. The scales are NOT water proof! Some have claimed that if you take the battery out and clean the knife in water you can dry it sufficiently before replacing the battery and it still works. I have not tested that out so use your own judgement on that.

This is a Wenger VIP 75mm model Swiss Army knife. Much like the Wenger Esquire but slightly larger in size similar to the Victorinox Executive and Ambassador knives. The 700 year logo commemorates the anniversary of the Swiss Confederation of Cantons or states when they combined to make a stronger economy and protective force for their people. The main blade has Sandoz etched onto it so it was probably a special order knife for this pharmaceutical company. This one does not have a keyring. Check out the video at the top. The bottom photo shows a size comparison to the Wenger Snife Esquire .

Here is the commemorative knife made exclusively for the Swiss Contingent at the 22nd World Scot Jamboree in Sweden 2011. These are held every 4 years in different countries. The front scale has a printed on design and the rear scale has the regular Victorinox shield. The knife is a standard Victorinox Camper model Swiss Army knife.

Ted Nugent Victorinox Farmer Swiss Army Knife(Sold)

This is a silver alox Farmer model Swiss Army knife made by Victorinox. It has the Ted Nugent logo on the front scale. These are fairly hard to find and come in 3 colors that I know of, red alox, black alox and silver alox as seen here. Ted Nugent is a knife enthusiast and promoter. I do not know how many of these were made.

This is the Victorinox SwissFlame model Swiss Army knife. It has the built in butane gas lighter with electronic ignition. These are pretty hard to find here in North America. They were only produced 4 years from 2002-2005 and then quickly discontinued due to problems with the safety and function of the lighter. The lighter has a fuel sight glass to see the fuel level and a fill nozzle with flame height adjustment screw. This model has the basic tool set of a Climber model with Plus scales. There are 3 models with the lighter. This SwissFlame model has the scissors, a CampFlame model has the wood saw and then there is the XXLT which is a deluxe very large collectors model with almost every tool possible on it.

Victorinox new style 2012 Cadets(Sold)

These new Victorinox Cadet knives are part of a limited edition 5 color series release from this past spring of 2012. They come in silver, black, red, blue and orange. They were originally released in a special package with a leather sheath. They can be bought separate from the sheath now. These are different from the original cadets since these have no key ring attachment point. The Cadet knife has a main blade, fingernail file, can opener and cap lifter. They are 84mm's long and about 8mm's wide so they are an easy to carry knife. Don't miss the short video I have posted on You-Tube about these Cadets!

Victorinox Classic - Red Leather Coach brand

This is a Victorinox Classic which has been modified by Coach. It has red leather covers with the Coach brand label embossed into the leather. These are pretty hard to find in good condition, and with the Coach name they are expensive. These come in several colors, red, dark brown, tan or beige, black, olive green and maybe blue. The leather wears poorly getting stained with oils from your hands and other contaminates. The leather eventually cracks and splits easily exposing the red nylon scales of an economy scale below. The inserts are wrapped under the leather as well.

Se trata de un clásico de Victorinox que ha sido modificado por el entrenador. Tiene cubiertas de cuero rojo con la etiqueta de marca Coach en relieve en la piel. This knife was my winning design in a modified SAK contest on MultiTool.org forums. I call it the Special Technician to work on electronics and small equipment. It has 4 layers. The main blade, combo tool and corkscrew layer, metal saw/file and fine screwdriver layer, Pliers layer and a Phillips screwdriver with magnifying glass layer. It was built by Neil Bee from the UK. The quality is superb. I love the onyx color scales.

Cleaning and Polishing Swiss Army Knives/Knife handles

Here is another example of what cleaning and polishing the outside handles of a couple common SAK's look before and after. I use an assortment of about 9 different grits super fine emery cloths(2400-12000) with water to clean and polish the handles while they are still attached to the knife. This is helpful since you do not need to remove the handles, possibly damaging them further. Metal inlays like the shield will be OK as long as it is not already coming off someplace. Note the red Wenger has several deep scratches and would require more work and more material taken off to completely make them look super smooth. The white Victorinox Executive had normal pocket wear and some red overall tinting from rubbing. It looks almost like new after about 30 minutes of work.
