Swiza D04 Blue Swiss Army Knife(SOLD)

Swiza D04 Blue Swiss Army Knife. This is the newest Swiss made Swiss Army knife. Swiza is the company name and they have a long history. Founded in 1904 as a clock manufacturer they eventually relocated to Delemont in 1965, new ownership in 2006 and since October 2015 the Swiss Army knife was reinvented. The knife has a lifetime warranty. The knife measures 95mm's long in the closed position. The blade is about 75mm's long. The steel is 440 57 HRC. The nail nicks are die-cut all the way through each blade or tool for ease of opening from either right or left hand. You will see "Swiza" on the blade and "Swiss Made" on the front tang and "415-307" on the rear tang. The blade is a liner locking version with the cross shield being the button actuator to release the lock. The scales are a soft-touch style making for a nice grip. The blade is nice and easy to open with a firm "snap" and the lock is solid. All the tools have a great opening and closing snap and smooth feel. The knife also has a Tweezers that is similar to the Wenger with beveled tips and heads that are smooth not protruding. I did not see a key ring on any of the currently available models. There are basically 4 different models, D01, D02, D03 and D04. Basic differences are 1 layer no openers, 2 layer with openers and either with corkscrew or Phillips Screwdriver. They come in 4 colors all soft grip scales, Red, Black, Blue and White. Overall I feel this is up to the high quality standards that Swiss manufacturers hold themselves to.

Victorinox Dual Pro X Red

Victorinox Dual Pro X Red - This model is my favorite newer 111mm model since it includes the opener layer. The Hunter XT is nice and I love the orange color but without an opener layer I feel it is missing too many tools.

Victorinox Delemont Rangergrip 79

Victorinox Delemont Rangergrip 79 - Here is one of the newest Victorinox models made with a mixture of Victorinox and Wenger style parts. The blade is from original Wenger style plain edge one handed opening blade, but it does have a Victorinox tang stamp. The wood saw and cap lifter keeps the original Wenger style tools but the can opener and awl/reamer tools are of original Victorinox design. The rear scales have both inserts, toothpick and tweezers which Wenger never had as an option. Both inserts are the same style, shape as the Victorinox 84/91/111mm series so interchangeable with any of the larger size Victorinox knife inserts. The liner lock is an original Wenger design with a Victorinox shield now used as the operating button.

Victorinox Forester - atel

Victorinox Forester - atel. Interesting model with liner lock blade. White is a pretty rare color for the 111mm size SAK's. The back side under the corkscrew shows a partially skeletonized backspring for the blade middle layer.
