This is an old Victoria tang stamped Victorinox Pioneer model in Red Alox. It shows wear and age but the tools look like they will serve well for many more years. The Awl is an older style, longer and it has a matching cut out in the rear alox scale for it to fit into when closed. The can opener is marked with the "PAT" and Swiss cross indicating it age as well. Yes, the liners are brass as so many of the older Pioneer knives have. I do not have a date when the Awl changed to the more modern style but using the 1961 Soldier as a model I figure the older style was used prior to this since the alox knife Awl at that time is the newer, shorter style most commonly seen in the Alox Soldier knife.
Another thing to notice on this knife is the partially hollow rear rivet. The rear rivet has a place for a bail to be attached but the typical hollow rear rivet we normally see is not here. Instead this has what looks like a solid rivet with a certain amount hollowed out. It looks factory made since the machine work on the holes are identical and look professional so I do not think this is a home made job.
